We are presently hiring a senior Unity developer / full stack programmer to join our exceptional team and work on complex and creative elements of our Unity client, including gameplay features, multiplayer minigames and much more.
Candidate must have been a senior Unity and/or Gameplay Developer for at least one and preferably many mobile, casual, multiplayer games built in Unity. They have overseen end-to-end development of complex games or features from concept to fully shipped.
The ideal candidate will have full stack experience, having worked with server-authoritative architectures designing and implementing REST and/or socket-based APIs and implementing server side game logic. Familiarity with our back end stack, including Node.js, Express, TypeScript, MongoDB, and AWS infrastructure is preferable.
-----Responsibilities-----
As a Senior Unity / Full Stack Engineer you will work closely with other senior engineers, product and art teams to prototype, refine, and build new games or features. You will also work closely with other full stack/back end engineers to build server side support for numerous unique, high-stability, multiplayer minigames or features.
You may also work on other front and back end game-related functionality as appropriate, including game AI, other meta-game client features (leaderboards, game event feeds, etc.), and a range of full stack/server side functionality.
-----Requirements-----
You have been a Senior Unity and/or Game Developer and overseen development of complex mobile games and/or game features;
5+ Years of professional software engineering experience, at least 3 years working in Unity
Experienced in Unity's UI system and skilled in C# and .NET
Experienced with server-authoritative back end game development
Some experience with devops in the AWS ecosystem is an advantage
Proven ability to take a game or complex gaming feature from early design through release, working in all phases of the game development cycle
Proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies very quickly
Experience solving common game-development issues
Ability to write tests for functionality and performance
Computer science or game development educational degree or equivalent work experience
You are based in Los Angeles or open to relocating (post-quarantine).
