About Stash:
There have always been platforms, like app stores and consoles, getting in the middle of gamers and game developers (did you know they take 30% commissions on each in-app purchase?). Stash sees a future in which developers can be their own platforms for the first time by delivering excellent direct-to-consumer experiences. We offer game developers a suite of tools that enable them to directly sell to and engage with their players, including web shops, custom game launchers, and payment processing. That way, games can finally interact with their players on their own terms. Founded by Twitch co-founder Justin Kan, Zynga executive Robin Chan, and Googler engineer Dan Borstelmann, building great game experiences and successful companies is in our DNA.
Role overview:
You’re an events manager who’s been working in gaming for years - and probably knows the Moscone Center like the back of your hand. You know how to throw a great party, create an impactful brand presence at a conference, and measure ROI. You’re creative, quick on your feet if something goes wrong (it always does), and highly organized. Bonus points if you have close contacts at the major gaming conferences (GDC, Gamescom, Pocket Gamer, etc).
Key responsibilities:
Your job is to make sure every game developer attending events in the US and Europe knows about Stash and what we’re up to. You’ll use events as a medium to spread brand awareness, generate new leads, and build stronger relationships with our current prospects and clients.
You’ll be responsible for telling us which events are a must, building a comprehensive events strategy that generates leads and brand awareness, and then putting it all into action. That includes booking speaker sessions, negotiating deals, ordering memorable merch and swag, organizing happy hours, throwing parties - and whatever else you think is necessary to hit our goals.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
3+ years in B2B events management
MUST HAVE experience in the gaming industry
Track record of creating impactful events in the US and Europe (GDC, Gamescom, Pocket Gamer, DICE, Slush, etc)
Experience managing conferences from A to Z - including speaker submissions, price negotiation, merch and swag, booths, happy hours, parties, and more
Self starter who can create an events strategy, implement, and optimize
Up to date on the game developer conferences and contacts
Up to date on the latest event management trends
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Creative thinker
