Redemption Games, a small well-funded elite group of mobile gaming veterans, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Live Ops to join our team. As the Director of Live Ops, you will be responsible for devising and executing live events and content for our large-scale multiplayer mobile video game. You will drive the strategy and implementation of live events, ensuring they are engaging and meet player expectations. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including design, art, and engineering, to bring these events to life.

Responsibilities:

• Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute the live ops strategy, including live events, content updates, and player engagement initiatives.
• Event Management: Plan, configure, and deploy live event configurations, ensuring timely and successful execution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, artists, and engineers to implement game features and live content as per design specifications.
• Technical Oversight: Work with technical leadership to design the technical architecture and approach for live event systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Continuous Improvement: Establish and enforce best practices for live ops implementation and workflows. Feedback & Iteration: Respond rapidly to player feedback and data, iterating on live content to improve engagement and satisfaction. Operational Excellence: Maintain reliable and high-performing live ops services, ensuring disruptions.

Qualifications:

• BA, BS or MS in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Game Design, Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in live operations, preferably in the mobile gaming industry.
• Proven track record of managing live events and content for a high DAU (Daily Active Users) game.
• Experience with Google Cloud and related technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience with a server authoritative multiplayer game is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a group of developers and execute a live ops roadmap
