Role Description
We are building an innovative B2C marketplace on top of a headless e-commerce platform. Our marketplace is designed to offer a seamless and intuitive experience for our customers, primarily gamers, by leveraging cutting-edge technology and best practices in UI/UX design.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Ecommerce Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up the entire store management of our headless e-commerce platform and developing a highly engaging and user-friendly multi-functional platform for our marketplace. You will work closely with our team to ensure the platform delivers an outstanding shopping experience, with a strong focus on performance, responsiveness, and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the overall technical architecture for our e-commerce platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Set up and configure the headless e-commerce platform, ensuring seamless integration between the frontend and backend for managing product inventory, pricing, product promotions/offers, internationalisation, and more.
- Lead the integration of the frontend with the headless e-commerce backend via GraphQL/REST APIs to dynamically fetch products, prices, offers, and other data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, development) to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in the e-commerce industry.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience in full-stack development (preferably B2C marketplace)
- Strong experience with open-source/headless e-commerce platforms such as Saleor, Medusa, Strapi, Shopify, or similar.
- Production experience in delivering concise, performance-oriented frontends/apps (React.js or React Native).
- Experience in designing and developing APIs (GraphQL/REST).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, including scalable databases and infrastructure.
- Proven experience implementing responsive and user-friendly designs.
- Familiarity with payment gateways, fraud prevention tools, e-commerce analytics, and personalization.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
